RPG genre:
RPGs are not exculsively videogames, they started with board games such as Dungeons & Dragons, and Tunnels & Trolls, to play them, you needed a character sheet on which to record your stats, books containing the rules, monsters and scenarios, seven multi-sided dice, and ideally, a good imagination.
You had to deal with various scenarios planted by the dungeon master.
These games created the basic modern-day RPGs features, such as HP (Health Points), EXP (Experience you get when defeating enemies), levelling up, races (Human, Elf, etc.), classes (Wizard, Warrior, Rogue, etc.).
Videogames came, and made RPGs which could be played solo, you didnt need a Dungeon Master to choose your path.
Videogame RPGs were very succesfull, some of my favorite franchises would be
Final Fantasy
Mana series
Persona Series
Chrono Series
Mother Series
They all have similar yet very different aspects.
Most RPGs deal with Dragons, Wizards, Warriors, some deal with war, and sci-fi, but there are special ones, my favorite ones
Mother and Persona series.
Both of them take place in modern day cities, but still have classic RPG aspects.
In Mother, aliens try to take over the world, and a boy, unknowingly embarks on an adventure to save the whole world from corrupted policeman, mutated animals and trees, etc.
Persona talks about facades, the many faces people use when talking to different people.
The Shadows (your repressed and true personality) goes mad because one self does not accept it.
MMORPGs are RPGs played over the internet, with people from all over the world, you complete quests and fight mosters in order to lvl up, but what makes this genre so unique, is the interaction you make with people you meet.
You get new friends, you train together, and have fun.
Ive always been a fan of RPGs, I play them daily and will never stop doing so.

VideoGames
Online VideoGames
-MMORPGs-MOBAs
-FPS
-Arcade Games
Ever since I was a little kid, I've been a fan of videogames, I didnt have a computer for myself until I was like 10 years old.
Normal offline videogames include these 4 subtopics I mentioned, but online gaming makes them completely diffetent and unique.
-First of all, RPGs and MMORPGS (Role-playing games, Massive multiplayer Role-playing games) make you assume the roles of characters which the player develops depending on your preferences.
The most common ''classes'' in RPGs are Warrior, Archer, Mage and Rogue, each one with their own unique abilities.
Normal RPGs emphasize in storytelling, while MMORPGs focus on player interactions with other people playing the same game.
-MOBAs (Multiplayer online battle arena) are almost exclusvely for online playing.
They are real time strategy games in which players fight against each other separated by teams.
This genre is very popular nowdays, with games like League of Legends and DOTA.
MOBAs tend to have RPG elements, like leveling, or fictional worlds with wizards, warriors and such.
-FPS (First Person Shooter) have been an important genre for gaming since forever.
You take the place of a person in the game, and supposedly watch through their eyes, shooting hordes of whatever the game is about.
Offline FPS emphasize in stories (campaigns) that tell the story through the eyes of the character.
Online FPS tend to have a Ladder Ranking System. Players fight each other , climbing this ladder, gaining points.
-Arcade games, the most common games, we all know them, fast-paced games that started on coin machines, games like Pac-man, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat.
They've evolved, appeaing in hand held consoles, tv consoles, theyre everywhere.
Online gaming lets us play these games against or with friends, making it way more exciting.
I'm sure there are many more online games to come, we just have to wait.

Homework 3
Language
Arts, Decisions and different outcomes.
I remember
my first real girlfriend, I was a nerdy kid that never went out, I had lots of
friends, but we hanged out online playing games and such.
If I hadn’t
met her, my life would’ve stayed like that.
She made me
go out every Friday, I guess I became used to it.
If I hadn’t
chosen that decision, I would be a different boy, with less friends and a
different sense of humor.
Historical
Event:
If the Spaniards
hadn’t conquered Mexico, France would’ve conquered us instead, and maybe, USA would’ve
conquered us afterwards.
United
States would’ve even more powerful because they’d have more terrain, and all
our oil would be theirs.
They would
be unstoppable, we would speak English, and all of our states would have
different names, and they would’ve easily conquered Belize, and South America because
of their location.
With a
whole continent for themselves, they would’ve won the WW and no one could stop
them from reigning every continent in the world.
It may have
been a ‘’peaceful’ world, since wards wouldn’t occur, but there would not be
history or anything. Everything from the past would be lost.

My Story
The boy died, he’s not alive
anymore.
He doesn’t even have a name,
he might have had one, but he doesn’t remember it anymore.
The only thing he’s certain
about, is that he died, he died and nobody even noticed.
He had never been popular, he
only had one friend, his dog, or cat, he couldn’t even remember his very dear
friend.
The boy simply wandered around
the city, invisible to the naked eye, looking for something, he didn’t know
what it was, but he was really desperate about finding that thing that had been
looking for a very long time.
Had it been days? Years? Maybe
centuries?
He wasn’t sure, he wasn’t sure
about anything.
He cried every night, right
before falling asleep, he could sleep anywhere he wanted, in a humble house, in
a store, even in a five star hotel, but he always chose that old abandoned
house on the top of a hill, he felt that house was his, the house was the only
thing he believed he owned.
He had heard stories that “ghosts”
usually stay in the living realm because they did not achieve and objective in
life, the thing is, he can’t remember anything about the time he was alive.
But that house, there was
something about that old house from the top of the hill.
Maybe he had lived there when
he could breathe? Maybe he had died in there?
For the meaning time, he could
only wait, wait for an angel, wait for death, a ghostbuster, he didn’t care, he
just wanted to talk to someone.

My memories.
My youngest
memories belong to Monclova, a little city in Coahuila, Mexico
I remember
I was 3 years old, and I had many many neighbours, most of the kids there were
my age or a little bit older, it was really fun.
I think I
ate a rock because some kid called Carlos dared me, it wasn’t pretty.
There was
an older girl that always organized our games or activities for the day.
I was one
of the oldest kids, I remember most of the other children looked up on me.
There was a
little dessert in the middle of our neighborhood, that was our playground for
most of our games.
Many of the
families that lived there moved to Saltillo, our families were dear friends, my
mom and their moms, dads and dads, and kids with kids.
We grew up,
and I had to move places because of my dad’s work.
I still see
some of my childhood friends when I’m on vacations.
They’ve all
grown up a lot, the girls grew pretty, some of the boys grew up to be geeks,
others play soccer or tennis, the point is we all grew up.
I remember
all of our adventures in that creepy old house, or the midnight-killer, a guy
that follows children when they’re out late at night.

Choosing a Community
If i could choose a community to live in, I would choose Japan.
Their culture is very interesting, they have many monuments involving their religion.
I heard the crime rate in Japan is low.
They have high standard of living, they treat the elderly with respect.
There is no rasial tension, they're happy to recieve foreigners.
They use trains and subways.
The four seasons do change trees and the weather.
Japanese are super kind.
Low traffic congestion.
Anime was created in Japan, and I love anime and manga.
